Right from my childhood, I have always been interested in creativity — especially arts and crafts. My mum is a very creative person and that’s where I got both my interest and talent from. we used to buy simple materials and turn them into pieces of art or craftwork.

Alongside my studies, I kept the creativity alive through quick and simple DIY projects, which we either used as a home décor or gifted to our friends and family. Then came my engineering days, when the time became a constraint and my DIY projects were put on hold — until after my marriage.

My husband is a tech geek and he introduced me to the digital world, which opened up new opportunities for me to discover other hidden talents — especially writing. I started a Recipe Blog where I would first cook , take pictures , write a short story for each recipe and then upload it. I even posted some of my writings on a platform called Medium.

Later, I reintroduced myself to crafting and created paper-cut artworks with the idea of selling them online. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take it further, as it involved a lot of work like maintaining stock and handling logistics. My dream ended before it could truly begin. However, I’ve kept those paper-cut pieces safely, hoping to sell them one day.

After that came a long break as I had children, though I still managed to do a few art projects in between, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted to explore the digital side of creativity by learning design and drawing tools to broaden my horizons. With no further delay, I started doodling digitally, though I still love using pen and paper for drafting. That’s where my new journey began.

I went on to learn tools like Inkscape, affinity, Adobe and Blender. I genuinely enjoy the process of learning new tools that help me enhance my creativity. I even illustrated and wrote a children’s storybook — not for publishing, but to track my learning progress. I also took on a few mock projects where I designed logos , learnt 2d and 3d modelling , design and the basics of animation.

At on point, I had plans to create a children’s cartoon series and had all the episodes outlined. I started with 3d animation but soon realised it’s not really a one-person job, as it’s very detailed and time-consuming. I then explored 2D animation and produced a few short projects.

All these trials and experiments have been ongoing since 2023. My creative journey has now grown so much that I thought it would be a great idea to share my experiences and progress through blogs.
